Disk utility error , benchmarking error

Asked by Alex

When i am running through the Disk utility the Benchmark, i can't run the test of: Start Read/Write Benchmark.
Pops up a message that says " An error occuredwhile performing an operation on "KINGSTON DT101 G2" : THE OPERATION FAILED".
And when i click the details button i get this: A partition table was detected - write benchmarking requires the disk to be completely empty.
The problem is that the usb stick IS empty. (I formated it also)

To be able to do a read write test, you must remove everything, including the filesystem.

I tried it with many formats such as fat, ntfs, ext4. I also removes the filesystem. But nothing. I formated again and created a new partition without a name and nothing. Am i doing something wrong?

Go into Disk Utility. Find the drive and unmount it. Then Delete the partition. Go to Format Drive and select "Don't Partition". I just did it to one of my flash drives.
