CD/DVD door wont open

I have two hard drives in my machine one with Windows 7 and one with Ubuntu 11.04 To load a CD I have to do this with Windows then change over to Linux as I cant open the CD door in Ubuntu I can eject but not load . Linux dose not recognize when I press the button to open the CD door. Can any one please help me

try:

sudo eject /dev/cdrom

check your users and groups settings to see that you have enabled access for the cd drive.

Could you paste content of file /etc/fstab.
