unallocated space in hard disk

Hello!
Im new with Ubuntu and Im switching from windows. At the moment I installed ubuntu, I create a partition and finally i delete the windows 7 software on it. Now I have a partition with 146 Gs that I dont know what to do with it.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GParted Install from synaptic package manager. System--Administration--Synaptic Package Manager. In Quick Search put Gparted. This will allow you allow you to change partition size.

Please boot from Ubuntu live install cd (it have gparted) and use System→Administration→Partition Editor gparted
and do resize or formatting or deletion of partions from it....

Be sure to have backup of your relevant data...
