I have a non-partition portion of my Hard Drive. How do I expand a partition to fill that space?

Asked by magui43212@gmail.com

I have 5.2 GB of unpartitioned space. I want to expand my 40GB ext4 (Ubuntu is intalled on this partition) to incorporate the free 5.2 GB. I can't seem to find an option to do this, and Windows 7 will only expand an NTFS partition.

Important:
You should use gparted on unmounted partitions only.
So boot from a live CD that includes gparted, the Ubuntu Live CD for example.
