umask for the whole desktop

Asked by Sven Gehr on 2020-01-07

Hello, everybody,

I use Ubuntu 19.10 with the default desktop:

ii gnome desktop3-data 3.34.1-1ubuntu1

In the graphical applications on the desktop, the settings are made from UMASK:

- /etc/login.defs
- /etc/profiles
- /etc/pam.d/common session

but ignored. Can this be changed?

Best regards
sven
