menu bar icon shows wrong

I have Ubuntu 14.04 installed, and Gnome 3 as the desktop. I found problems in menu bar, i.e it shows disconnected when the wired network is well connected. Also when I switch the language to de it always shows en.
I know it has been reported by many people as bug, like in https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=706098
but I don't know how to read the solution.
Anyone can give me the hint?

I suggest you report a bug with Ubuntu, link in the upstream bug
