my user account locks every 30 sec

hi.... i need your help pleas . i have an ubuntu 14.10 and it keeps locking every 30 sec i'm forced to work it in guest mode . i go to user accounts and it doesn't let me to unlock it so i can make any change and add any user .... please help me . can i make any changes in guest mode ....? because only in guest mode i have time to make changes in normal mode no .....

You cannot make any changes in guest mode.

What kind of "lock" do you experience for your own user ID?

If you select an older version of the kernel (via advanced mode in the grub menu), do you have the same problem?

By the way, Ubuntu 14.10 is no more supported (see https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Releases ).
