Every time I press Appearance I get this Failed to execute child process "gnome-appearance-properties" (No such file or directory) window, I'm using 10.4 ubuntu, Thank You.

Please try to (re-)install the package 'gnome-control-center'. If that seems allright, please open a terminal and type 'gnome-appearance-properties' + Return. Please report any error messages here.

-- Please open a Terminal from the menu Applications → Accessories → Terminal and type or copy and paste:

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
sudo apt-get --reinstall --purge install gnome-control-center capplets-data

-- give your user password when requested, you don't see nothing when you type it, then press enter
