Need to load libexiv2.so.6 so I can run gnome-commander

Asked by Eugene Rodriguez

Recently installed Ubuntu 10.04.4 desktop amd 64 after failed attempt to upgrade to 12.04. When I try to run gnome-commander, I get the message "gnome-commander: error while loading shared libraries: libexiv2.so.6: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory" Can I download libexiv2.so.6? Will this take care of the problem? Is there an alternative?

Why Lucid? It has less than 9 months support. Precise is not only the latest stable release of Ubuntu but it is also LTS giving support til 2017....
