why does gnome-calculator tries to rmdir personnal folders?

Asked by Lexa

Hello,

I noticed the following entries in dmesg (and /var/log/kern.log*):

[2152299.854714] audit: type=1400 audit(1669384970.852:4749): apparmor="DENIED" operation="rmdir" profile="snap.gnome-calculator.gnome-calculator" name="/mnt/data/lexa/Musique/" pid=94325 comm="rmdir" requested_mask="d" denied_mask="d" fsuid=1000 ouid=1000
[2152299.902127] audit: type=1326 audit(1669384970.896:4750): auid=1000 uid=1000 gid=1000 ses=4 pid=94267 comm="gnome-calculato" exe="/snap/gnome-calculator/920/usr/bin/gnome-calculator" sig=0 arch=c000003e syscall=314 compat=0 ip=0x7f59329e373d code=0x50000

It happens reliably, every time I start gnome-calculator. Always the same folder. Looking through the few kern.log archives I still have, it happened `30 times since 24 of October (don't have logs older than that unfortunately).

Needless to say I don't expect a calculator to try deleting local files... Could it indicates a possible compromision? (of the computer or of the snap itself)

snap list output for gnome-calculator gives:
gnome-calculator 41.1-4-g5c9869a58c 920 latest/stable/… canonical✓ -

OS release is 18.04.6 LTS

Cheers,
Axel

The page for the application:
https://snapcraft.io/gnome-calculator

Says:
Join the forum, contribute to or report problems with, snapd, or Snapcraft.

Clicking on snapd takes you to launchpad. So, you can report a bug wby running the below in a terminal:

ubuntu-bug snapd

and this will start the process for you

Can you help with this problem?
