Unable to load gnome applets

Asked by Prem Pal

Today,I started my system(UBUNTU 10.04) and suddenly their came an error that gnome applets(Clock,Workspace,show-desktop,etc.) cannot be loaded, and it asked whether to 'delete' them or 'don't delete'.
I restarted the system and still the same error persists.
I selected the 'delete' option.
Now could you please tell me how to get back the applets.??

you can reset your gnome-panel. go to home press ctrl + h,then go to gconf > apps and delete the folder called panel. now logout and login back.

open a terminal ( Applications > accessories > terminal ) and then run "rm -rf /tmp/". this will remove your temporary files

and make sure that you have not removed indicator applet by accident. go to ubuntu software center and search for "indicator-applet" make sure it is installed
