How to install DockManager for Docky?

Asked by Todor Velichkov

Perdón por mi ignorancia, soy una persona mayor aprendiendo Linux. ¿Como instalo este archivo en OpenSuse 12.2?
Gracias por responderme.

I'm using ubuntu 10.10 64bit.
Docky 2.2.0
bzr docky r1805 ppa

dockmanager-0.1.0

I tried with the PackageManager but it gives me error:

"You have 1 broken package on your system!

Use the "Broken" filter to locate it."

"E: /var/cache/apt/archives/dockmanager_0.1.1~bzr90-0~10.04~dockers1_amd64.deb: trying to overwrite '/usr/share/dockmanager/data/skype_online.svg', which is also in package faenza-icon-theme 0 "

sorry for the mistake - I'm using Ubuntu 10.04 64bit, not 10.10

The files it complains about overwriting, just delete them. Then install the package.

So for the error you posted, delete the file '/usr/share/dockmanager/data/skype_online.svg'. Don't worry, the package has this image (and thats why it is an error, the package is trying to write to this file but it already exists for some reason).

found the solution here -> http://askubuntu.com/questions/20568/unable-to-install-dockmanager

the problem was in the faenza-icon-theme package

Here are the .deb files for dockmanager, i don't know for the life of me why linix has to make everything so hard, this is the 20th century you know and Linux although it has made great progress has not gotten out of the dark ages in some areas

https://pkgs.org/ubuntu-14.04/ubuntu-universe-amd64/dockmanager_0.1.0-0ubuntu2_amd64.deb.html

have fun!
