Can Nokia PC Suite run on Ubuntu?

Asked by Xiaoqi Zhao

Just moved to Ubuntu 8.10 from Windows 7 Beta.
One problem is not able to enable functionality that Nokia PC Suite had in Microsoft Windows platform.
Saw some discussions about using VirtualBox then PC Suite to simulate, but not word seems to support my Nokia E61i (I think should be common problem on this).
Does anyone know how Nokia PC Suite can run or impossible?
Or any alternative way for synchronizing purpose, I need SMS, Contact and Calendar synchronization? (mail is not critical, since I have enterprise push mail, but it would be also good that one compatible synchronization tool can support email synchronize as well.)
Thanks!

I think gnokii is worth a try. I don't know what hardware set-up the forum link person had but gnokii should work and may only need a bit of configuring if you're unlucky

Good luck and regards from
Tom :)
