Update Synaptic Package Manager?

Asked by wbee

Hello,

I download and installed Gmtp today from the Synaptic Package Manager into 12.04 lts.

It was 1.3.1-2Ubunt and there were some problems with it.

But before I actually file a bug report, may I reasonably assume that much has been improved with the latest stable version and that updating the version available on the package manager might help users and developers?

Just a thought.:-)

Where did you downloaded it from?

Why didn't you just use the version in the repositories. It's available for Precise (Ubuntu 12.04)

Thank you,actionparsnip.

I did use the version in the SPM repository. Which, at some point,I suspect someone will update, though they probably have for the newer long term support os.

That said,I'm glad I asked the question here instead of filing a bug report, because I figured it out and solved it.

The owner's manual for the phone says nothing about selecting an option of where to store music files, but it does for the camera's files.

I selected the SD card option for the camera files, and it also now puts music files into the SD card,so problem solved.

Thanks.
