How to install GLIBC_2.38? (newbie)

Asked by Maxime Andropov

Hi

Some minecraft mod requires GLIBC version 2.38, but I can't figure out how to install it (I tried updating and installing a file with it, I don't know how to use it). Can someone tell me how to install it? I would be very grateful.

Which Ubuntu release are you running?

Each Ubuntu release comes with a certain version of glibc.
Upgrading glibc to a higher version within an Ubuntu release is not recommended at all.

If you need glibc version 2.38 (or higher), then the best way is upgrading your Ubuntu release to 23.10

What is the output of:

lsb_release -a; uname -a; apt-cache policy `dpkg -l | grep glib | awk {'print $2'}`

Thanks
