Gimp very slow in loading

Asked by NakiMum

I've installed a few scrips, patterns & brushes in Gimp 2.6 that I use for digital scrapbooking, but now Gimp loads very slowly. Even greys-out other applications that I'm using.
I've checked disk space via Terminal & this is the output.
Anyone got some ideas & help pleeeeeeeze
TIA

Thats because its having to load imp as well as all the stuff you have added to it. If you remove functionality you do not need it will be faster.
If you overload a mule, the mule will be slow. Try removing functionality from gimp you do not use to lighten the load.

thanks will do. Is there a way that I can work around increase Gimp-space? This is just a FYI-question.
