Gimp will not start

Hi! When I start Gimp, down in the task bar (I guess that's what it's called.) it will show "Starting GIMP Image Editor," that goes away, and Gimp never starts. I have tried re-installing Gimp several times.

I can start it successfully from Terminal.

Try to delete you gimp profile. Perhaps there's an error.

$ rm -rf ~/.gimp*
