i dont know what's Glasgow Haskell but search the package in the Ubuntu package search.

Syed, I'm afraid we haven't been able to get the versions you request into Ubuntu officially yet. There are preview packages in Debian that you may see, but these are not considered ready for wide use yet. If you wish, you may build the packages from source by downloading from http://www.haskell.org/ghc/ and following the instructions at http://hackage.haskell.org/trac/ghc/wiki/Building/QuickStart. Make sure to uninstall the version you currently have with Synaptic first otherwise you may run into problems.
