Is there a reason this package still has a dependency on emacs23?

Asked by Alex Hutcheson

As a user of Emacs 24, I was surprised to see that installing geiser via apt-get still triggered an installation of Emacs 23.

During installation, geiser detected the presence of emacs 24 and installed itself, and appears to be working correctly, so I am confused as to why the emacs24 and emacs24-nox packages are not acceptable alternatives to emacs23 in the dependency list.

Geiser appears to be working in my Emacs 24, but if there is something I'm missing, let me know.
