location of gedit and plugins on the filesystem

Asked by SB

Hello,
How do I know the path where I can find gedit and its plugins on the filesystem? My system is pretty much the default installation of Ubuntu Jaunty, so the default path should be what I am looking for.
Thank you.

gedit is located at:
    /usr/bin/gedit

The public libraries and plugins are located at
    /usr/lib/gedit-2

The locally installed plugins are atL
   ~/.gnome2/gedit/
