Error al grabar en gedit

Quan edito el fitxer /etc/x11/xorg.conf no m'el deixa grabar em dona errors com:
WARNING **: 18:30:35.475: Set document metadata failed: Establecer el atributo metadata::gedit-position no está soportado
això m'ha passat perque no em reconeix el monitor i mirant per la xarxa deien que calia modificar aquest fitxer
