Thanks for reporting this issue. However, I can't recreate it. Pressing CTRL-S in gedit does open the save-as dialog on new files and saves the file otherwise. Have you defined custom-shortcuts?

No . I didn't defined any shortcuts .I don't know why . Maybe you can tell me where to define the shortcuts , I will have a try .

Sorry, the issue index/php/t-603659 is about QEDIT, not GEdit. Easy to confuse since the lower-case letters g & q look so similar.

Can you help with this problem?
