basic commands in gedit

Asked by Robert

I'm completely new to gedit. I need a quick summary reference to the basic text editing commands, such as:
1) delete to end of line (any hot keys so I don't have to highlight?);
2) delete highlighted block;
3) search and replace;
4) move block ;
etc..

Any documentation?

Thanks in advance - Bob T.

Hi Robert.

Gedit uses the common text editing rules for GTK/GNOME. The additional
commands are documented in the help.

Choose Menu > Help > Contents
Choose the "Shortcut Keys" chapter.
