Window end of line chars

Hi, i have looked around but cannot seem to find any answers to this question, forgive me please if it has been asked before.

I sent a text document written in Gedit to someone working on Windows (sic) who opened it in notepad (sic). The EOL charecters did not seem to work. How can i set gedit up to use windows style EOL '\r\n' so that it's formatted correctly for those users who have not yet evolved fully!

Use "Save As..." from the file menu and save it as a .txt file (usually just typing ".txt" does the trick)
