File browser - display all files?

Asked by jcinacio

I have activated the File Browser plugin, as i find it useful.

However, when navigating into a directory with a few .c files (text) and a Makefile (again, text), the Makefile is the only file i can actually see in the file browser...

Is there any kind of rule for what files are listed in the Browser?

Thanks

Have you already activate the (i have them at lower right) icons, and "match filename" filter
[Documents] - [File Browser]

May be mine gedit is different than your, i answer from an development release of Ubuntu the 8.10 Intrepid with latest release of Gedit.

Thank you

I am not using the "Match Filename" function, so all files should be displayed; renaming a file extension to ".c" will also make the files disappear from the list

I am using gedit from Ubuntu 8.04.1
