How can we make a text editor to support various Indian Languages?

I have developed a new text editor , and that text editor only supports English text, but it does not type any of the Other Indian languages. I am finding it hard to solve this problem... can anyone help me. Where should i add codings? so that my text editor also supports other languages.

Hello..
Even when the user logs in selecting Indian language(ex: Telugu) as his language, default input language still remains to be English. User has to manually enable Telugu input in gedit. To enable telugu input in "gedit" SCIM input method has to be enabled. To enable, right click and select Input method and SCIM Input Method. And then the input language can be changed by pressing both the alt keys simultaneously or pressing cntrl+space together. To change this shortcut, go to System > Preferences > SCIM Input Method Setup
