gedit Hotkey InsertDateTime

Asked by Andreas Voss on 2006-11-02

I am rather new in Ubuntu. Coming from Windows, notepad-user, writing manual logfiles i rather often user hotkey F5 in Windows notepad to add Date / Time. Same function possible in gedit mit the insert-datetime-plugin, but no hotkey. I know - a comfort problem. But i like gedit really and want to contribute to make it better by telling this wish to you. Maybe you can forward this to the appropriate address.
Thank you.

Please open a wishlist bug in Malone against gedit in ubuntu : https://launchpad.net/distros/ubuntu/+source/gedit/+filebug

Fill in that, and mark it's importance as wishlist then if you can.

After that, please close this support request using the add comment system in your support request page on the Launchpad web interface. Thanks.

I put a message to the wishlist-bug as recommended.
