i was trying to install wine and typed in an apt line to synaptic

i can't get any programs off of synaptic anymore and don't want to reinstall. i just want the files with the apt lines to have the line removed. i went and tried to fix the files, but it said i don't have root access. how do i fix this?

If you want to modify your repository list, you have to run gksudo gedit /etc/apt/sources.list and reload the database with sudo apt-get update.
