I tried to make a shared folder between my real and virtual machines, but there is nothing in it

I am using virtual Box with qiime. I followed instructions to make a shared folder, but when I open it up there is nothing in it.

Do you use samba to share folders on LAN (or any other sharing method or even have an SSH server running)

You'd be better posting thins on the virtualbox forum too, its more specific to your issue.
