Remembering previously viewed code possible?

Asked by syn4k

I am new to this application and I'm looking for something that I've seen in some other editors:
I would like it if there was an option to make it possible so that whenever I reopen my text editor that it would remember my last viewed files. I edit and code a lot of PHP and right now I have to rebrowse to the files I need. Is there a way to make it so that the files I last edited load with the editor?
Thank you very much.

Hello,
gedit has a function like you search. Even if i open gedit i saw the last viewed files under the menu item file. Which version of gedit did you use?

Yes, you are correct but that's not really what I'm talking about. I am wanting the code to actually open. When I open gedit, I want it so that the last viewed code automatically opens in the editor. Most other editors support this feature and I am almost certain I'm just not familiar enough with the editor to figure out how to turn it on in gedit.

You know what...Let's just forget it. I have enough to deal with right now. Thanks for your help. I'm just going to use Edit Plus in Wine. Thanks again.
