Dont show messages after archiving or deleting

Asked by joculari

I am sure there is a solution out there, but I cant find it. I'd like to turn of the messages that appear when I delete or archive an email. For me this is annoying because I tend to look at the first email and then the message gets in the way. I use ubuntu 19.10 and geary 3.36.1. It would be perfect to have a button in the preference-section that turns the message feature off.

What is the message please? What does it say?

What is the output of:

apt-cache policy geary; lsb_release -a; uname -a

Thanks

Hi, thanks for picking this up.

The messages say "conversation has been deleted" or "conversation has been archived". So it must be a build in feature of geary - or maby of ubuntu?

The output is listed below but I dont think its the right version I use the Flatpack Version 3.36.1. The ouput probably refers to the package-manager version of ubuntu that is not installed.

geary:
  Installiert: (keine)
  Installationskandidat: 3.32.0-1ubuntu1

Says its not installed (from your output)... How did you install Geary, please?

If you do not have the Ubuntu version installed, but the flatpack from elsewhere, then you are wrong here.

You probably better look at https://wiki.gnome.org/Apps/Geary/Contact

Can you help with this problem?
