Manfred Hampl suggests this article as an answer to your question:
FAQ #3037: “no rolling release”.

Ubuntu is copying packages from Debian (to avoid double packaging work) and Debian is already working on packaging version 3.4.2, but experienced errors, see https://bugs.debian.org/1002225

Please also see Bug #1764327
gdnsd is not provided in Ubuntu jammy, because it does not work on current Ubuntu releases.

gdnsd currently is not contained in the next Ubuntu release (kinetic, 22.10).
So there is nothing that can be updated.

You can try creating a bug report to request that gdnsd is added to Ubuntu kinetic (22.10).
I have doubts that it will be done, taking into account Bug #1764327 and the errors currently seen in Debian.
