Change gdm resolution in Karmic?

Asked by David

How can I change the resolution in Karmic Koala? I can't seem to find the correct file in /etc/gdm and I have no xorg.conf.
This is on a clean installation of the beta.

I use xorg.conf due to being old school. You can set the res in grub. I think the login screen obeys those resolutions, if you had an xorg.conf file it uses the leftmost resolution in the list

If you run:

gksudo gedit /etc/default/grub

you will see a vga level there which you can customise as you wish.

The answer may be but the xorg.conf info is not.

Can you help with this problem?
