can't login

after installing the arabic package and restartng the machine,i can't type the english letters of my authentication data as the system forcing me to write in arabic

please help me

Did you try changing the language from the ubuntu log in screen? there's an options menu in the lower left corner of the screen.

Hi :)

During boot-up do you get a menu with a lot of options for booting into Ubuntu? The 2nd option should have "recovery mode" at the end of it's line and should take you to a disturbingly blue screen but with a useful menu. The menu item "Drop to Root Shell" should get you to a command-line where you can try Zvacet's answer.

@Federico Vera :i can't switch languages using the shortcuts
@zvacet : the package is nt installed
@Tom :the problem in not in the password reseting

HI

I think you might be able to install the package by using this command

apt-get install console-data

Wouldn't changing the password to one that uses arabic letters be easier?
