Two passwords? I am confused by that statement.
You create a user and select a password for the user during installation. That is the password you give to the login prompt.
Common problems are having the Caps lock on, or the Num lock key on (for laptops). Both should have lights on them to indicate when they are on. Both should be off. If they are off, and your password does not work, try turning the num lock key on and t ry again (assuming it was on durning installation). Nothing works, reinstall, and remember the password you select.
