No Login Window Button

HI,

Heres my problem, I have install the ubuntu 9.10 through the live CD,

When i discover that it can allow to change the GDM Theme, i had found one theme through some website, and it is in tar.gz file

I know i need to change it throught the system, admin, login window

But the problem is i don't have the login window button for me to choose, i only have the login screen.

I would like to know how to access the button back,

I had try one of the solution help

***Go to the log in screen, but don’t log in. Press Ctrl, Alt, f5.
Type in your log in username and password. ( you can’t see your password when you type.)
Wait until it all loads.
Then type export DISPLAY=:0.0 (display must be in caps.)
Then type in the code: sudo -u gdm gnome-control-center.
Press ctrl alt f7.
Now go to appearance to change the login screen.
Finally when your done close out of everything and there is your log in screen.**

But seems not working for me, i would like to know the solution for it,, kindly thx for your help..

p.s Computer: HP DV5 1019TX
      OS: Ubuntu destop 9.10

Theming the login screen was removed in 9.10.

Can you help with this problem?
