Graphic problems in GDIS

Asked by darkego

Hi!!

I have installed the molecular viewer program GDIS in My laptop with Ubuntu (Jaunty), but when I open an file it looks so bad, additionally when the structure is rotated it conserve the previous frame (or image) resulting in an overlaping of graphics.

I am not experienced user with linux, so any suggestion would be appreciated.

I cannot help you with gdis which is described as under development but offer this URL where you may find something useful:

I see the same problem using intel driver for 965GM graphics chipset.

The only workaround I found is to disable acceleration by adding
Option "NoAccel" "true"
in /etc/X11/xorg.conf
in this place:

Section "Device"
        Identifier "Videocard0"
        Driver "intel"
        BusID "PCI:0:2:0"
        Option "NoAccel" "true"
        ...
EndSection

Can you help with this problem?
