_gdal_array import error

Asked by Josep

Hello l can see you got a solution for the _gdal_array import error on python3.

I am using python 3.5 in a Ubuntu 16.04 machine, and I had installed a gdal 2.1.2 before I installed the package you have here to fix that issue version 2.1.2+dfsg-3

The thing is I don't have Debian and l used the +dfsg.orig file, does this one fix also the problem??

I am still having the same issue and I am getting pretty lost here.

I tried to uninstall gdal from my machine and install again just that folder and nothing.

Does anyone know what can happend??

Thanks
Josep

Maybe https://launchpad.net/~osgeolive/+archive/ubuntu/nightly provides a version with the features that you are looking for.

The fix is also be included in the GDAL 2.1.3 package in ubuntugis-unstable PPA which is a better choice for end users than the OSGeo-Live PPA:

 https://launchpad.net/~ubuntugis/+archive/ubuntu/ubuntugis-unstable/+packages

Unfortunately Ubuntu doesn't maintain most of the packages it takes from Debian, so this fix is unlikely to get included in the package in Ubuntu xenial.

Can you help with this problem?
