MSP430 Package Updates

Are there any plans to update the MSP430 Package repositories for Ubuntu? I know that Texas Instruments has taken over maintenance of MSP430-GCC and the related tools - so if this does happen there may need to be some discussion with TI.

I suggest you report a bug. If the bug and security fixes are significant then it will be updated sooner rather than later
