gcc-3.3 in ubuntu 8.10 intrepid

I want to install gcc-3.3 but i can't find it with apt-get neither with synaptic package manager

my OS is ubuntu 8.10. is there a bug or a problem?

gcc-3.3 is no longer included in ubuntu, you must upgrade to gcc-3.4 at least

gcc-3.4 does contain also the c++ support?
