percentage

Asked by kurmanah

I have figures for ex 80 and 96. The second one comes from of course adding 20% of 80 to 80 which is 96. I want to work out this percent if I have only these two numbers and I don't know the percentage.

Hey Kurmanah,

Here is the formula:
(96 - 80) / 80 = 0.20 = 20 %

0.20 = 100 * 0.20 % = 20 %

So, to make 20% with 80 and 96, you need (96 - 80) / 80
