strange!?
how can one try to introduce a "new technology" without a practical example!

I would be interested by doing so with the MGE UPS Systems - Personal Solution Pac repository:
http://www.mgeups.com/products/pdt230/software/sp97/solpaclinux.htm
http://opensource.mgeups.com/beta/ubuntu/

for the time being, I'm trying to make gapti work with a sample .apt file (appended).
But I keep on getting an "Invalid APT file\n Could not determine file type."
(feisty, gapti 0.0.2ubuntu2)

As anyone made gapti work already?

Because I didn't "introduce a new technology". I spent about 3 days hacked up some code and uploaded it to the internet. =)

If you'd like to help it be carried forward, please do. It's been awhile since I've had a chance to work with gapti.

but you indeed introduced a new techno
even if it's small, it's useful, and that's the whole point!
I can tell you that all of projects have started as 1 evening
hacks ;-)

haven't you made a test repos. to develop and test it?
3 days is largely enough to do so ;-)

shouldn't it work with my above mentioned .apt file?

I've not looked at the code, nor have much time to do so...
but, right, I'd like to help.

ok, forget my question.
I've found out that the mime must not include the "version number of the Apt file specification" as mentioned in the ThirdPartyApt doc,
next, I forgot to embed my pub key.
so, on the way. more news soon (with the first public repository providing an.apt file!?)
