problem with ICQ privacy setting

Asked by dierre

Hello...

whenever I access my icq account using gaim it resets my privacy settings so that users don't need my authorisation in order to add me to their contact list. This is quite annoying, as you may guess.

I tried to use the icq client to set that options so that my authorisation is needed; but after that, on the first login with gaim, it returns to the previous state.

Obviously gaim's interface provides with a way to set it the way I wish, but I can't find the option...

Thank you for your help!

I have some good news and bad news for you. The bad news is that Gaim currentlyd doesn't support this feature, however it looks like Gaim 2.0 will. Below is a link to their Changelog.
