How to hide Idle buddies

How can I hide buddies whose state is 'Idle' and 'Away'?

Thanks for your question.

The answer is quite short: You can't.

But you might want try to sort your buddies according to their status (Buddies->Sort Buddies->By Status). There is no other way of achieving your requirement with Gaim/Pidgin. And it seems there is no plan to include this feature.
