compilation problem

Asked by fijam

I've tried to compile versions 22.14, 23.25 and 24.14 on Debian Wheezy. All fail with the following:

libtool: compile: gcc -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I. -I../../../.. -Wall -Wstrict-prototypes -D_LINUX -DACPI_ASL_COMPILER -g -O2 -I../../../../src/acpica/source/include -g -O2 -MT aslcompilerparse.lo -MD -MP -MF .deps/aslcompilerparse.Tpo -c ./aslcompilerparse.c -o aslcompilerparse.o >/dev/null 2>&1
mv -f .deps/aslcompilerparse.Tpo .deps/aslcompilerparse.Plo
: -i -PAslCompiler -oaslcompilerlex.c aslcompiler.l
/bin/bash ../../../../libtool --tag=CC --mode=compile gcc -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I. -I../../../.. -Wall -Wstrict-prototypes -D_LINUX -DACPI_ASL_COMPILER -g -O2 -I../../../../src/acpica/source/include -g -O2 -MT aslcompilerlex.lo -MD -MP -MF .deps/aslcompilerlex.Tpo -c -o aslcompilerlex.lo `test -f './aslcompilerlex.c' || echo './'`./aslcompilerlex.c
libtool: compile: gcc -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I. -I../../../.. -Wall -Wstrict-prototypes -D_LINUX -DACPI_ASL_COMPILER -g -O2 -I../../../../src/acpica/source/include -g -O2 -MT aslcompilerlex.lo -MD -MP -MF .deps/aslcompilerlex.Tpo -c ././aslcompilerlex.c -fPIC -DPIC -o .libs/aslcompilerlex.o
gcc: error: ././aslcompilerlex.c: No such file or directory
gcc: fatal error: no input files
compilation terminated.

I suppose there is something funny with the Makefile. Any suggestions appreciated.

this is the help forum for Ubuntu. though ubuntu is an offshoot of debian, debian isn't support here because...well, for many reasons. try googling debians help forum to find it.

Can you help with this problem?
