Hard links using Samba

Hi,

My system currently runs Kubuntu 11.10. I have an NTFS-formatted USB external hard disk mounted on my system using Samba. Can I use 'findup -m ...' on the NTFS filesystem given the fact that it will be creating hark links to the files rather than deleting them? Is this a safe thing to do in general?

I've done some experimentation and have found that 'fslint' appears to work correctly when creating hard links on NTFS filesystems.
