Initial FrontAccounting 2.2.8-1 login in Ubuntu 10.10

Asked by Paul Young

Hi. I installed FrontAccounting from Synaptic in Ubuntu 10.10.

I then created a database called fa in PHPMyAdmin and imported en_ZA-new-220.sql downloaded as en_ZA-new-220.zip from http://frontaccounting.com/wb3/pages/download/download-chart-of-accounts-2.2.php

I set up an admin user and password in the 0_users table in the fa database

I also edited config_db.php to reflect the database, user and password and company name

I am able to access the frontaccounting login page at http://localhost/frontaccounting but when I log in I get the error message that the user and password combination is not valid and I cannot login.

Are there some chmod file system permissions I need to set - such as for /tmp?
Frontaccounting files are installed in:
/usr/share/frontaccounting
/var/lib/frontaccounting
/etc/frontaccounting

Thanks Paul Young
