EOL version of FreeRadius released with LTS Xenial

Hi there!

Looking for a way to update our freeradius servers, (2.1.x and 2.2.x are on EOL http://freeradius.org/version2.html) hoping that on the next Ubuntu LTS there will be 3.x freeradius version (Centos 7 already has 3.0.x rpm package) found that the free-radius package version still on the 2.x branch.

So, is this going to change in the mean time?

I suggest that you create a bug report.
Debian has already such bug report https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=797181 and seems to be working on packaging the new version.
