How to contribute ?

Asked by Bert Timmerman

Hi,

I'm currently coding the generation of pcb footprint files into fped, for pcb see http://pcb.gpleda.org.
This I do on top of the r5999 checkout of the svn repository.
I also noticed that there happens to be a git repository (lagging at r5986) for debian, this repository needs an update from the upstream svn repo.

I could provide a patch based on:

1) the svn diff (the most recent reository),
2) the git diff (the debian git repository is lagging),
3) an ordinary diff

What do you prefer ?

Kind regards,

Bert Timmerman.

you would be best off to send it to the upstream developer of the fped program, Werner Almesberger
-- if you can find him.

Failing that I would post in the openmoko list (who hosts the SVN repo), asking for write access, or someone to do the commit for you. Failing any response there I would then move to email the debian maintainer, who can patch it directly, or you can download his git repo and then give him a URL to pull, or send him a git package.

Can you help with this problem?
