fotowall no export button

Asked by Salut

Hello,
I am working with fotowall 0.98~beta+git20150707-1, the current version that is supplied via Ubuntu 15:10 package-managenement system. After having finished my collage, I would now like to export it to a format like .jpg , .png or something like that. On screenshots of other users, I see that there is supposed to be an "export button" above the save button in the right upper corner of the screen. In my version there is just the save, but no export button. Unfortunately pressing the save button does not allow you to choose any other format than .fotowall - either does just entering the wished format-ending! I do not find a printing possibility or any other opportunities in the menu as well.
So, I would be very grateful for help!

Thank you very much in advance!!

Manuela

If you want to add screenshots you will need ImageShack, Dropbox public link or similar to make a URL of the image

I had the same problem with the 0.98-beta.

I solved the problem by deinstalling this version and installing a stable version.

I used this version: http://packages.ubuntu.com/de/vivid/amd64/fotowall/download

As this bothered me as well and I also did the successful downgrade to 0.9-11, I created a bug report for this especially as the issue is also there in 16.04.

I had the same problem. Dieter's solution solved it (for now at least). I marked the bug as affecting me too. Thank you for creating the bug report
